Memorial Jewellery

I lost my mum Julie in 2021 after a long cancer battle and I wanted some jewellery making with her ashes. After researching and realising how expensive it was and how this would make it out of reach for many people, I decided I wanted to change that. I started making memorial items just for myself and my daughter at first with my mum's precious ashes, from this, friends and family asked me to do the same for them. Over a period of time, I started offering the service to a wider circle and realised it was something I was really good at, so I registered my little business, and it has just kept growing. I work alone and meet my families where possible so they have a personal service and know who will be taking care of their loved ones. I am known locally in the York and surrounding areas for what I do but I have provided a service for clients the length and breadth of the country. I cater for all and find items that are in peoples’ budgets so everyone can afford to have a little piece of treasure to keep their loved ones close to them. As a tribute to my amazing mum, I make a donation from sales to the Leeds Hospital Charity in the hope that it will help other families going through what my mum did. Last Christmas I also donated toys which I bought out of money from sales to the Children's Ward at the hospital. I won the National Good Funeral Award for Best Memorialisation in 2024 and have been nominated again for 2025. Grief is a journey with no time limits and a little kindness goes a long way. I like to think that by helping others and growing my business, I am keeping my mum's memory alive.
