Roots of Remembrance

Photography Competition

Presented by

National Grief Advice Service

Every tree tells a story.

Some represent strength.
Some healing.
Some remind us of people we miss.

The National Grief Advice Service invites you to take part in our “Roots of Remembrance” Photography Competition — a meaningful community project exploring remembrance, hope, resilience, healing, and growth through nature.

We are asking people of all ages to submit a photograph of a tree that holds meaning for them.

Whether it represents:

  • A special memory
  • Someone you love
  • A place of peace
  • Strength through difficult times
  • Hope and new beginnings

—we would love to see your story captured through photography.

Why We’re Doing This

Grief touches everyone differently, and sometimes words can be difficult to find.

Through this project, we hope to encourage reflection, conversation, connection, and healing while raising awareness for grief support services within our communities.

Selected entries will be displayed at our Charity Ball as part of a special visual showcase celebrating remembrance, resilience, and shared experiences.
